Just to keep you honest

Anyone remember this guy?

All I recall is that is was really early in the morning (5:30ish) and Sam got up. Since I had to get up any minute then, I just got up early and took him downstairs and put him in his bouncy-thing. I was really pissed to lose that last 1/2 hour of sleep.

But then he started in with all this, and I just plain forgot to be mad!

It's certainly a nice trip down memory lane for me.

Simon's Cat

As the title implies, here are two very funny cartoons about a guy named Simon and his cat. Make sure you have the volume on, because the cat is funny!

The first is called "Cat-Man-Do"

And the next is called "Let Me In"

Comments?

Comments on the new layout? I think the text font size is easier to read. I guess I'll get used to the rest later.

Sleeping too fast

Every night after Sam goes to bed we usually hear him running around upstairs, and after a while, one of us will go upstairs and grab him and put him back to bed. Sometimes he will just sit at the top of the stairs and call to us or rattle the gate.

After two or three times of this, I'll go up and threaten to lock his door if he comes out of his room again. That usually works like a charm.

Last night, however, when he came out of his room for the third time, I stood at the bottom of the stairs and told him very sternly that he'd better get his butt back in bed unless he wanted me to come up and put him in bed and lock his door.

He told me couldn't go to bed then because his mouth hurt. Naturally I asked him why.

He said it got hurt because he "was sleeping too fast."

I'm still trying to puzzle that one out!

Strange genes

Whatever it is that's going on with Sam is really weird. I was confused about it for while. Like, we'll be sitting down to dinner and all of a sudden Sam's whole head just turns into a blur. And I'm not talking about after he's eaten candy or anything like that. It'll really freak you out. I was just starting to get worried enough to call the doctor about it, but then Mom did it too.

I guess it must run in the family.

I'll hunt through my archives and see if there are any other family members afflicted with this disease. I guess we'll have to name it too. I'm open for suggestions...

Easter!

I call this picture "The Definition of Happiness."

I call this picture "The Definition of Happiness" too. (But they're stored in different folders, so it's okay.)

That's a computer geek joke.

I never said it was a funny one. Alright, knock it off and just enjoy the picture!

Edit: Hey, I just noticed this, but if you click the picture and blow it up, it looks like a white hand (Mickey's?) coming out of Sam's mouth. Cool!

Edit again: Yep, I re-checked the picture, and zoomed in, it is definitely Mickey's white-gloved hand just beginning to poke out of Sam's mouth. Check it out and see if you don't believe me!

I call this picture "Wtf? Did you see Dad stealing my candy?"

(I did too.)

More in the "Adventures of Stupid People"

Today I woke up (not unusual) and checked my email (also not unusual!) and saw that I had another comment posted on one of my pages. As you may remember from last week I had a "browser drive-by shooting" in a comment left on the blog that would actively try to infect your PC if you clicked on the posted link. So that's why I turned on the comment moderation feature. It works fine, and in fact I caught another one this morning and deleted the link before it was posted.

I have again reported the user to Google/Blogger and I presume that by now the FBI is knocking down the guys door ready to pour the hot wax on him.

OK, maybe they don't react quite as quickly as I'd like, but they did shut down the last poster's site and deleted his account. And I'm certain they don't react as forcefully as I'd like!

I have a theory on this: I think it's probably some kind of automated bot type of thing that someone has programmed to more or less randomly visit blog pages and post the offending links.

DIE ROBOT SPAMMERS! DIE! (Did I say that out loud? Yes I did.)

Anyway, here's the important part: Never clink on links in a comment! Ever!

Have a nice day!

Stupid people suck

Last night I posted some pictures of Sam (who else!). I got a comment this morning from an unknown user that had a link in it. So I clicked the link and it took me to a web site that was actively trying to infect my computer with some nasty virus. Unfortunately for this moron, it'll take a lot more than that to get to me. However, other people may not be quite so vigilant as I am about their computers!

I have deleted the comment and turned on a verification procedure so that any time someone posts a comment, I'll have to "accept" it before it can be posted. Sorry for the delay! At this point, Blogger doesn't seem to be able to do anything about it. (If you search through their help materials, you'll find a ton of people with this complaint in the last month alone.)

Also, if you were unfortunate enough to see the comment and click the link before this morning, you would see this (it's only a screenshot--not the actual site):

Clicking on anything on that screen would begin the infection process. Nice, huh? It looks all official and everything.

ccccxxxxxxxxcccccccfdllkii <---- That's the part of this post that Sam wrote.

Anyway, if you happen to see this screen and click something, the good news is that I've already seen this on 2 other computers and the program needed to fix it can be found at www.malwarebytes.org. (I'd recommend downloading that sucker and hanging on to it anyway...just in case!)

Okay, the rant is over. Have a nice day!

Underwear modeling is next I guess

Sam got some new "Spider Man" pajamas today and he thoughtfully modeled them for me. I was somewhat disconcerted by the fact that he seemed to know exactly how to "model" them for me!

I mean, he looks like he's being posed for some JC Penney catalog or something. He's not. He was doing that all on his own.
